The reader for the recipient mailbox is battery-powered and rechargeable.
Passive RFID technology enables non-optical, contactless detection of items. The transmission of the captured data takes place automatically via the mobile NB-IoT network.
RFID Transponder
The test shipments are equipped with passive RFID tags to make them clearly identifiable. RFID tags are small, nearly weightless and inconspicuous. Letters with RFID tags are therefore indistinguishable from normal items.
