Video Coding by Spectos ensures that mail items with undecipherable or false information will be traced quickly and efficiently. The video coding solution allows for operators to continue with their normal day to day operations independently of dynamic mail volumes. Sudden increases in mail volumes due to holiday peak seasons, annual begin-of-the-year mailings or other circumstances won’t require adaptations to either work processes or personnel resources. Video coding ensures that postal operators can rely on processes that are scalable and can run their operations effectively and efficiently year-round. Spectos Video Coding can be incorporated to fit into the daily or nightly operations of all mail operators, thus never causing disruptions in the flow of the supply chain.
Video coding works by remote session in real-time, thus avoiding any delays for the processing in the sorting centre. Spectos creates a platform that permits for easy integration into your own mail sorting system. High-end video and photographic machines record an image, which in turn is deciphered for location, street and house number. All common sorting systems and VC-platforms such as Pitney Bowes, Siemens, Böwe, etc. are supported. The video coding is completed maximum 30 minutes after the sorting process.
The processes applied by Spectos for Video Coding are certified by DIN ISO 9001:2015 and ISMS 27001:2013. They also adhere to EU privacy and data protection policies.
All project management and quality assurance is handled by Spectos Germany. Upon processing, all information is transferred to Spectos Asia where it is properly identified. Employees in video coding work full-time in the field of address research. They are trained and have many years of experience in address research and address registration. Those that cannot be sorted are further researched from maps, online databases and search engines.
