Turn of the year in Vietnam: Spectos Asia celebrates Tet holiday!

A very special and above all colourful event is just around the corner in Vietnam: Tet holiday. The New Year celebration lasts several days. It is one of the most important Vietnamese holidays and starts according to the lunar calendar on January 25, 2020.

Chúc mừng năm mới!

It’s Vietnamese for “Happy New Year!”.

The preparations start weeks before, because what happens during the celebrations is an omen for the whole coming year! This is why the Tet festival is also called the ” festival of happiness “. During this time, towns, houses and apartments are decorated with opulent New Year decorations. Tet holiday is traditionally celebrated together within the family with fireworks and elaborate dishes. The colour red is symbolic of happiness, and that is why the Vietnamese mainly use this colour for their clothing. Take a look at the stylish gowns of our colleagues in the video made by our Spectos Asia team.

We wish our Spectos Asia Team a happy New Year, a successful start into the Year of the Rat and of course: good luck!
